D+A studio established its roots in Friday Harbor, Washington, opening its main office in May of 2005. The family-owned firm soon expanded its service to the Seattle area. With two offices D+A studio can better serve the needs of both local islanders and city dwellers.
D+A studio serves a wide range of needs from small-scale renovations to large-scale master planning. Our firm emphasizes involvement and personal attention to the needs of the client. We work closely with our clients to develop creative and effective design strategies. Our services include residential design, tenant improvements, commercial and urban design, permitting and project management.

I have been designing and building award-winning homes for
more than twenty seven years.

In addition to being a registered Architect and a member of the American
Institute of Architects, I have also built sixteen of my original designs in
Washington, Alaska and Vermont, an area rich in architectural tradition and
where I was awarded the Home of the Year, twice. These years, on the job in
challenging climates have influenced me to design buildings that are
practical to build, strong, and warm.

My small practice, located on San Juan Island in Washington State, offers a
client personal attention and a full range of Architectural services
including site development, professional design and building engineering,
preparation of blueprints and other contract documents, and construction
administration
